Chuck began his ASA umpiring career in 1984 and is still umpiring today at the age of 75. He served as the Spokane Umpire Association president in 1986 and 1987. He was the Spokane Metro UIC from 1994 until he retired in 2009. He has served as a UIC at seven (7) ASA National tournaments and has been
UIC at 51 other State and Regional ASA Tournaments. Chuck has always been about learning and teaching. He has attended 8 National Umpire Schools and 15 Regional Umpire Clinics. He has graciously represented Spokane ASA at 6 National Council Meetings.
Chuck Stewart has received numerous prestigious awards over the years. Those include the Inland Empire Sports Writer & Broadcaster Award, The Spokane Umpires Presidential Pride Award (3 Times), the Washington Officials Meritorious Service Award, and the ASA Region 15 Award of Excellence. Chuck is a member of the ASA National Indicator Fraternity and has received the Blue, Gold, & Silver ASA Medals Program Level awards.
Chuck is a member of the Inland Empire Softball Hall of Fame.
